The Conference of Associate Members (CAM) has elected the Union of Latin American and Caribbean Universities (UDUALC), led by Prof. Eng. Jorge Calzoni, as its new Chair for the 2024-2025 period. UDUALC will succeed the Network of African Science Academies (NASAC), which was chaired by Prof. Mahouton Norbert Hounkonnou.
Following UDUALC’s term, the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS), under the leadership of its Executive Secretary, Oladoyin Odubanjo, will assume the Chair of CAM for the 2025-2026 period.
Elections took place after a two-day meeting on 27-28 June at the OSC headquarters in Addis Ababa, where delegates took stock of their activities and milestones in the last year, and were briefed about the work of OSC’s flagship projects.
