Delegation of the Organisation of Southern Cooperation arrives in Gambia

The commitment of the Organisation of Educational Cooperation (OEC) and the Government of the Republic of Gambia to jointly build new routes to achieve development from education, marks the events of the african country these days. 
 
A delegation from OEC, led by its Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Manssour Bin Mussallam, arrived this Saturday afternoon at Banjul International Airport on an official visit to the Gambia upon the invitation of the government.
 
The welcome reception at the airport was attended by the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Ms. Claudiana A. Cole, the Director of Curriculum at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education of The Gambia, H. E. Dr. Momodou Jeng, and the Secretary General of the African Curriculum Association (ACA), H.E. Dr. Gertrude Namubiru. 
 
Expressing his honour, the Secretary General reaffirmed the Organization’s commitment to operationalizing a fruitful partnership to make the shared vision Balanced and Inclusive Education for all a reality. 
 
For her part, the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education of the Gambia recognized the presence of the OEC as an opportunity to broaden the perspectives and scope of cooperation in key areas such as education, innovation and development. 
 
Likewise, the Secretary General of the African Curriculum Association pondered the intimate ties that unite the OEC and the ACA, an associate member of the Organization, in pursuit of forging the future we want. 
 
Since his inauguration during the General Assembly, in December 2021, this is the second mission carried out by the Secretary General of the OEC, who referred to how much we have to learn from the Africans’ peoples and organisations.
