The 22nd International Research Conference on Private Higher Education in Africa is taking place at St. Mary’s University in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from the 23-24 May 2024. This year’s theme is “Re-thinking Academic Assessment and Evaluation as a Strategy to Enhance Higher Education.” The conference has brought together educators, researchers, policymakers, and higher education leaders from around the world to discuss the latest trends and developments in academic assessment and evaluation.
In a video recorded message, the Secretary General of the Organisation of Southern Cooperation (OSC) H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam said: “Research must now emancipate itself from the paradigm that has delegitimised and marginalised entire knowledge domains, that yet are not academic, but are crucial to our development and our people. This is our ancestral knowledge, this is our popular knowledge, this is our endogenous knowledge”.
Delegates at the Research Conference aim to focus on and develop strategies that will improve the quality of higher education.
