Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (23 October 2024) – The Organisation for Southern Cooperation (OSC) welcomed Eng. Jorge Calzoni, the Chair of the Conference of Associate Members (CAM), for a two-day working visit to OSC Headquarters in Addis Ababa.

Secretary-General Manssour Bin Mussallam engaged Eng. Calzoni in fruitful discussions, accompanied by Under-Secretary Generals and Special Advisers, focusing on the OSC’s flagship programmes and future directions. This visit lays the groundwork for the upcoming General Assembly, scheduled for November 2024, in which Member States and Associate Members will consider and approve their Common Programme for 2025-2026, with focus areas such balanced and inclusive education, transdisciplinary research, endogenous technology, and highly concessional financing.
