A Memorandum of Understanding between the Organisation of Southern Cooperation and the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) was signed at the OSC headquarters.
The Secretary-General Manssour Bin Mussallam and Dr. Rossana Valéria de Souza e Silva, Executive Director of the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) signed this concrete agreement that establishes collaboration in two areas:
1. GCUB will encourage Brazilian universities to upload their digital libraries and repositories to the OSC’s Greater South Information System (GreSIS). In return, the OSC will provide these universities access to GreSIS.
2.The MoU will support the Framework to Reinforce Exchanges between Youth and Regions through Education (FREYRE), facilitating student and scholar exchanges among universities of Member States and Associate Members.
