12 September 2025, Addis Ababa – The Secretary-General, H.E. Manssour Bin Mussallam, held a fruitful meeting with H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, on the sidelines of the Africa Climate Summit (ACS-2) in Addis Ababa.
The exchanges explored pathways for digital cooperation through OSC initiatives such as the Greater South Fair for Endogenous Technology (GreSFET) and the Southern Commission for Artificial Intelligence, ensuring the South not only consumes but also shapes emerging technologies.
They also reviewed progress towards the Greater South Development Bank (GSDB), designed to channel Southern capital into strategic sectors — from high value-added manufacturing to sustainable agriculture — and discussed the gradual establishment of OSC South-South Technology Transfer Hubs over the next two years.
