2nd OSC Book Talk series: Miranda Writer

On December 1, 2023, the 2nd OSC Book Talk series was held, led by the Special Advisor to the Secretary-General, Mr. Baltazar Ojea, in which Francisco de Miranda was discussed, who is one of “the precursors of the liberation of Latin America.”

Francisco de Miranda, known in the world of politics during the 18th century and whom scientists call the “most universal of Americans”, was a revolutionary leader, persecuted by the Inquisition, and who was related to George Washington and Catherine II of Russia.

The OSC Books Talk series celebrates the power of literacy, to achieve a historic transformation, that speaks towards a more equitable and sustainable future, of equality and solidarity for humanity, to shape the Future We Want.
