The first two-month capacity-building programme on Balanced and Inclusive Education (BIE) concluded today, with a landmark graduation ceremony, that saw 21 educators comprising of government officials and technical experts from academic institutes, OSC Member States and Associate Members, awarded certificates. The training focused on the principle of BIE.
Presiding over the graduation ceremony at the OSC headquarters in Addis Ababa, Secretary-General Sheikh Manssour Bin Mussallam praised the trainees for their determination towards the profound humanist ideals that motivate them within their respective ministries and curriculum development centres. Dr. Shubhangi Sharma, Under-Secretary-General at OSC’s Department of Systemic and Endogenous Educational Development, was also awarded along with other trainers for the successful training programme. The pioneers shared their enthusiasm for applying their new skills to create more inclusive and equitable educational environments.
The graduation ceremony marks the completion of the first of three training sessions planned for this year, as part of the OSC Institute’s flagship programme.
