OSC participated in the COP28

A fruitful participation of the OSC Secretary-General Manssour Bin Mussallam at the COP28 in the United Arab Emirates, with High-Level side events, bilateral meetings, and visits to different pavilions.

The Secretary-General participated in the high-level side event “Educating for a Sustainable Future: Bridging Climate Action, Development, Inclusivity and Resilience” at the Ethiopian Green Legacy pavilion, and then H.E. visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pavilion “Saudi Green Initiative” revolving around the numerous projects and initiatives to address the climate change and ensure sustainability.

On the margins of the COP28, Secretary-General Manssour Bin Mussallam met Mr Tom Mitchell, Executive Director of the International Institute for Environment and Development, and H.E. Abdul Rahim Sultan, Director General of World Green Economy Organization to discuss potential synergies with the OSC, in particular with regard to the Common Leveraging Union of Borrowers (CLUB) recently established by OSC Member States as the sovereign debtors and borrowers club of the South.
